All over too quickly. A beautiful area and lodge was really good.
John and Wendy Kitt, Leicester
You have thought of everything even a bucket in the lodge so my husband could clean off the monkey pooh from the bonnet of the car (remark after a visit to Longleat safari park).
Mrs Tarran from Norfolk
We found the accommodation and grounds so relaxing that we were reluctant to go anywhere. There are lots of places to visit that we could not fit it all in in one week, so we are coming back again next year.
Mr & Mrs Duffel from Oldbury
We enjoyed our stay at your beautiful lodge and we have taken away many happy memories - thank you for your warm welcome.
Maddie & Michael East Sussex
We have had a superb holiday here. The accommodation was everything and more than we were hoping we'd get and in excellent surroundings.
Mr & Mrs Peters
Absolutely stunning. We've been coming to Glastonbury for the past 20 years or so. This is the best place we've ever stayed in - look forward to coming back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Somerset and our stay in the lovely lodge here at Spindlewood! So much space for the boys to run around and such a comfortable lodge. The welcome hamper was delicious.

Log cabin was perfect plenty of space inside and outside for our 2 boys to run around. Centrally located for many of the local attractions Glastonbury, Longleat, Wookey Hole, Cheddar etc. Linda & Peter will make you feel welcome as they did us.
Steve, Jackie Connor
We take a lodge about 3 times a year somewhere in Britain and this was certainly one of the best sites we've been to!
McClymont family SW Scotland
...great open playing area for kids and well away from the road (we will miss that a lot!) Good accommodation and friendly atmosphere. We've had a great week and are looking to plan another visit.

The Jacksons - Southport
We really enjoyed our stay here at Spindlewood, and to be honest you don't need to go anywhere because there is enough room to play on the field alone.

Had a wonderful week. The weather has been great and the accommodation very comfortable. The boys enjoyed the space to run around outside playing football, cricket etc.
The Dexter Family
As always, it's so beautiful and peaceful, and most important the lodges are superb, couldn't improve upon them. Pity our visit was short. Thank you both.
The Sladdins
Peaceful stay in a wonderfully comfortable cabin in an ideal location - the sound of pheasant and sighting of 2 deer one evening was brilliant - a must return experience for all.

We've had a lovely peaceful holiday - we've been to some beautiful places, met some lovely people and enjoyed some wonderful weather! The wildlife highlight - a buzzard floating acros car bonnet and landing on verge beside us - brilliant!

This Spindlewood Lodges is just magic. To leave now is almost tragic. In Avalon's valley it is lazing, I've never stayed anywhere so amazing! Blackbird, robin, buzzard, deer - beautiful creatures surrounding here. Wherever I go, wherever I may roam, I'll always consider this my spiritual home.
Merula the bard!

Had a lovely week in the lodge - kids loved playing out in the grass - found a cricket and frog whilst out exploring and loved the nightly walks around the field - couldn't resist "borrowing" the odd apple! So much to see and so many places to visit!

Our first visit here and will return. The lodge is very comfortable and everything you need for a quite holiday. Put food out for the badgers but did not see them however, had visits from the chickens.
Phill, Jill & Jake Ellis
Had a wonderful holiday at Spindlewood quite surprised our lodge did not turn into an Ark!! lots & lots of rain -but we still enjoyed ourselves. Thank you to Linda, Peter & Michael for making us so welcome and for upgrading the lodges -they are even better now and the leather sofas are sooo comfortable. Look forward to seeing you again next year.
Mr & Mrs Hengist Middlesex
Another fantastic week with glorious weather in our favourite place on earth! Good to see Linda & Peter again so welcoming as always. The lodge feels like a 2nd home. Going to miss midnight, myrtle, connie & sylvie (spindlewood chickens) and espresso & latte (spindlewood ducks). September can't come quick enough until we return again. Wonder if Linda & Peter would consider selling a lodge cos I could definitely live here all year round.
Michelle & Beryl London
Re-vamped lodge is lovely, weather has been good scenery lovely as usual. Had a lovely break driving around the countryside. Loved the chickens & the black & white cat.
The Harris Family East Sussex
Good weather, good company and a very cosy lodge lots to do and see. Met and fed four very friendley chickens. Hope to make a return visit.
The Middletons, Lincolnshire
This was our first trip here and really had no idea what to expect as we booked it on a bit of a whim, but we can definitely say it was the right decision. The lodge was everything we needed spacious, clean and very well equipped and incredibly comfortable. The grounds were stunning. Overall a great place! have a chat with the chickens while you are here. Will be back with friends for sure.
Mike & Dominique
The lodge was a cosy retreat with stunning views. Equipped with all the essentials (good corkscrew). An ideal location for many days out, Cheddar Gorge a highlight. The only possible improvement would be a small table on the veranda to perch one's glass on.
Andrew & Gemma Suffolk
What a great setting, it's the first time that we have stayed here and we would love to come back. These are the nicest lodges we have stayed in - everything has been thought of. Just a bit hard to find the first time!!! In the days of overcrowded caravan parks and camp sites it's great to find somewhere with so much space and privacy. We had some great days out at Longleat, Bristol Zoo and Cheddar Gorge, which even though it was raining was still amazing and the rain doesn't affect you in the caves. Also had a lovely day in Lyme Regis looking around the shops and fossil hunting. We didn't try any of the local pubs other than the Wetherspoon at Wells, which is close, easy to find and good value. Also would recommend the Castle of Comfort pub; we found it on the way back from Bristol about five miles from the lodges. Lots of daily specials at sensible prices.
The Sharp Family, Suffolk
An excellent few days here, enjoyed the peace and quiet and fantastic to be able to throw open the front door and let the kids explore safely. The kids enjoyed feeding the chickens, playing football, exploring the paths through the long grass. The house was very spacious and thoughtful touches such as fairy liquid and tea towels were much appreciated. We would love to return in the future and explore more of the surrounding countryside. We can highly recommend Longleat and walking around Wells. Many thanks for delivering our parcel.
The Bennett family
We have has a lovely stay here in Spindlewood. What a lovely peaceful place! It is safe for our children who loved the walks among the long grass looking of butterflies and wildlife. The lodge was great for us. Clean, warm and very confrontable, everything that we needed. Thank you for a wonderful stay and lots of lovely memories made for our family. We most definitely will be back

A really nice relaxing holiday. The lodge has everything you need. We have all had a fantastic week in Somerset. (and the field has been the perfect football pitch for our two sons!!)
Alex, Jane, Joe and George from Rayleigh, Essex
Our second stay at Spindlewood and it was as good as we remembered! Perfect location for Longleat Safari Park. We visited the fleet air arm museum nearby too and it was interactive enough to keep the kids interest (just!). The lodges here are clean, well maintained, spacious and welcoming. Linda and Peter are great hosts, on hand if needed but not at all intrusive. We enjoyed the pigs, chickens and ducks and startling an adult deer in the wooded area opposite. The kids enjoyed the space, playing hide and seek. Thanks Spindlewood!
Joelle, Jason, Taran and Ruan from Cornwal
These lodges are fabulous for the money. Its so nice to wake up to peace and quiet and views are breathtaking in the morning. We have been to Wells which is a historic and pictureseque town. Beautiful surroundings and friendly people. The wildlife round here is an eye opener. I saw three badgers quite large moping around the grounds. We hope to come here again soon - we love it here - and i am sure whoever reads these notes you will love it too....
